I listen to quite a bit of music, but I’ve become pretty picky over the years. It takes quite a bit to impress me, but here’s a few albums that have in the first half of 2024

7. Message Songs – The Porter’s Gate

The Porter’s Gate has another chill worship album, served just the way I like it.

6. Somehow I Know It’s Love – Young Oceans

Young Oceans keeps it almost ambient with this chill record.

5. Firebird – Dirt Poor Robbins

Saw these guys in concert at an event this year. Incredible musicians with some very creative songs.

4. Joy Joy Joy Joy Joy – Paul Zach

Good upbeat worship songs are hard to find. Most of them end up being cheesy. Paul Zach gives us a whole album simple, fresh ones.

3. Temporal – DK the Drummer

MuteMath was one of my favorite bands. Their drummer released a new album that really reminds me of the Death Stranding soundtrack.

2. Clancy – Twenty One Pilots

One of my favorite bands these days on account of their ability to innovate all genres. My favorite track on the record is Vignette. I don’t know what those chords are, but they’re epic.

1. We Go On – Swoope

This one hit me out of left field. I love hip-hop but I have a very specific flavor, and this concept album is it.

  1. Thanks for the Dirt Poor Robins recommendation I’m intrigued and giving them some time. Liking “Fever Dream” so far.
