I’ve been keeping an eye out for ya. Here’s my favorite music that came out in the final months of 2025.
11. Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars | Seven Lions
I grew up DJing trance music. While I don’t listen to it as much as I used to, Seven Lions usually catches my attention when he releases new music. His new album is an enjoyable listen that incorporates several different electronic genres.
10. Let God Come In | Jonathan & Melissa Helser
If I’m ever looking to get caught up in extended worship songs, Jonathan and Melissa Helser are often who I’ll turn to. Their new album is another one for me to do that with. Plus, their first song has a Narnia reference, so you know they’re gonna win me over.
9. Dwelling Place | Mainstream Worship
I am anything but mainstream, so clicking play on an album by a group called Mainstream Worship isn’t what you’d expect. I was taken aback by how much I enjoyed this album, especially the slower songs, which make up the majority of the album after track 3.
8. Residence I-IV | Josh Gauton
I discovered the music of Josh Gauton about a year ago and I really enjoyed his recent release.
7. As Long As I Am In The Tent of This Body I Will Make A Joyful Noise, Pt. 1 | John Van Deusen
I hadn’t heard of this artist until the release of this album. This 18-track album had me quite impressed. I look forward to his future releases.
6. Love Like Raindrops Made of Light | Young Oceans
Young Oceans has been making music for some time. He returns with another beautiful album that you can dwell in.
5. Night | Jonathan Ogden
I really enjoy Jonathan Ogden’s work. Good Scriptural lyrics and reflections, mixed with chill music and harmonies.
4. Asaph’s Arrows II | King’s Kaleidoscope
Looking for some fresh hipster takes on a few hymns? King’s Kaleidoscope has you covered. Check out this short album, especially the final track “This is My Father’s World,” which sounds like it was made with a blooper pedal.
3. Better Days | Bay Turner
I don’t know where this guy came from, but his voice is buttery, and his music is smooth. Take a listen to his short EP.
2. FOREVER PHASE | Paul Meany
One of my favorite producers. I grew up with him in the band Earthsuit, then moved to his band MuteMath, and now listen to the works he produces for Twenty One Pilots. So glad he’s getting back to making some of his own music now, too.
1. Breach | Twenty One Pilots
My favorite band right now remains Twenty One Pilots. Breach is another solid and creative album from a duo that really knows how to write unique music.
Bonus Suggestions
Of Stars & Straw | 1208 Greenwood Church
Our church released our first album, Of Stars and Straw, which features original Christmas songs we wrote.
Jamin.exe: AI Updates to My Human Source Code | Jamin Bradley
I handed 35 of my original songs, written over the course of two decades, to Suno AI and asked it to cover them. For the most part, the lyrics, music, and melodies are all mine, but reimagined by AI in various genres. This was actually a pretty powerful experience for me, and I write about why in this post.
