I was just spent time with the most delightfully annoyed people. Little Caesar’s tiny lobby was overpacked and everyone’s orders were crazy behind. Yet everyone cracked jokes and laughed and talked about how nice it was to be stuck with non-angry people. When I left, the drive thru was wrapped around the building, which blocked my car in. Yet when I finally managed to get out, the person blocking me in smiled and said nice things.
There are other ways to deal with our stress, annoyance and inconvenience than yelling at people and expecting perfect service. Indeed, this is a part of the good news of the Holy Spirit: as we let him grow us, we can learn to respond differently than expected.
