The Husband-Wife Prophet Team

For many of us, the prophets seem like weird people that are impossible to relate to. But  when we look close, these strange people begin to look a little more human.

For example, we could make mention that Isaiah had a wife who was a “prophetess.” The two of them both did the same kind of ministry, all while being married and raising children (Is 8:3). Perhaps it was even their roles as prophets that brought them together—just like how many male and female ministers tend to get married today. Or maybe one of them got blessed with the gift of prophecy later on in their marriage. Whatever the case may have been, these married prophets give us another glimpse at a life that had some normalcy to it.
